Michael G. Armstrong has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia. He studied law at Queens University and the University of British Columbia and obtained a Bachelor of Law degree in 1981. He was an associate and partner at a major Vancouver litigation firm until 1990 where he practised in the areas of insurance defence and general litigation. In 1990 he established an independent practice at Armstrong & Company, the predecessor to Armstrong Simpson. Since that time he has focused in the areas of professional legal liability, construction disputes, personal injury and general corporate/commercial/securities litigation. He has appeared at all court levels in British Columbia, at the Federal Court of Canada and at the Supreme Court of Canada. He has also appeared before administrative tribunals including the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal, and the BC Securities Commission. Mr. Armstrong was appointed as Queens Counsel (now Kings Counsel) in 2012. Mr. Armstrong is a past-executive member of the Vancouver Bar Association and a member of the Canadian Bar Association.

S. Paul Simpson has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia. He studied law at the University of British Columbia and obtained a Bachelor of Law degree in 1984. Mr. Simpson heads the corporate commercial practice at Armstrong Simpson and focuses in securities, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, natural resources and corporate law. He represents private and publicly traded companies in the technology, and natural resource (mining, oil and gas) sectors, and has extensive experience advising clients on a broad range of matters including initial public offerings, public and private equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, reverse takeovers, corporate restructurings and reorganizations, capital alterations, continuous disclosure requirements and corporate governance.

Shauna Hartman has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Saint Mary's University. She studied law at the University of British Columbia and obtained a Bachelor of Law degree in 2001. She joined Armstrong Simpson in 2003 after practicing with a major Vancouver law firm. Ms. Hartman practices in the area of securities, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, natural resources and corporate law. She has assisted companies in many types of transactions, including initial public offerings, private placements, exchange listing applications, reverse take-overs, corporate restructurings, mergers, take-over bids, property acquisitions and joint ventures.
Ms. Hartman is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Securities subsection of the Canadian Bar Association.
